Boris/"Ivan" learns that Rizzo missed the previous day's cleanup/excitement because he "tripped and fell down the stairs." It seems that Sardo and Jarvis (of the schlepping crew?) caught Rizzo cheating at cards.

The medical information comes in on Annaea's autopsy: various strains and contusions, broken ribs [as from a kick from the right foot], head and back injuries as per earlier observation. "Smart drug" plus fast acting trank (injected as crystal via air gun) plus rofinal derivative equals a memory loss, depressant: the "Date Rape Drug". We hypothesize Someone surprised Annaea (who on her own takes the "smart drug" hoping for the postulated positive effect) or she surprised Someone at the drone in the lab when it was expected that all the students would be celebrating with the PCP-laced punch. This Someone shot Annaea with a trank hoping to put her out. Instead it triggered the "she-hulk effect". Annaea went berserk and tried to lift the drone. The Someone hit back with a savate-like kick to the ribs. Annaea lost control of the drone and it crushed her. The Someone is still around.

Lyle/"Val" discovers excessive activity in the computer. It appears that there are at least 4 parties (including ourselves) that are doing 'hidden' computer scans.

Lyle and Robert/"Jordon" use some of their off time to physically trace some of this electronic activity. On Deck 7 they find that there've been additions to the junction box by 1 or more tappers using available parts (not a pre-planned construction); these wires led into the student deck. They trace this to what they believe is Rick Bauthor's room. On Deck 8, they find the junction box has a security relay disabled as if by the master control. It shuts off by computer command from Engineering. Lyle and Robert think the indications are that there is at work Someone sophisticated at computer skills but an amateur at electronics.

After these discoveries, Teresa/"Katherine" works to 'get acquainted' with Rick and eventually gets invited into his room. There are electronics everywhere.

Boris/"Ivan" is recruited by Jennifer and Caesar who have deduced the existence of secret agents on board this expedition. They estimate that one in five is a spy [which isn't bad considering that we know one in seven is]. They are suspicious of Annaea's death in that they noticed alligator clip marks in the probe-drone and they hypothesize that the probe had been messed with electronically. But their main concern is the fact that they are short some backup tapes. They want Boris to look for an electronics spy box in storage, and they want his opinion as to whether or not they should trust Rick. Their take on Rick is that he is friendly but "always pounding away" in his quarters; they think his programming expertise could be useful to them. Unfortunately he seems to have taken up with one of the ship's female engineers, "Kitten" and they suspect that she is after something.
