Spies In Space Campaign

Conclusion          Mormons & Magic

Trying to Recall the Conclusion

Either I did not write up the last run or two of the Spies campaign, or I never printed it out and the electronic file has been lost over the years of moving from computer to computer.... However, as it did come to a conclusion of sorts, I would like to not leave these notes simply dangling (in more ways than one).

Our Heroes located Pittsburgh. Their equipment allowed them to see that there was a settlement there - as well as strange winged scaly creatures inhabiting a nearby cliff face. This was definitely not "our" Earth. This was not our universe (or, perhaps, dimension) as the Laws of Physics are not the same: technology does not work as it should. So we could not land our ship without risking never being able to leave. We were able to lower it into the atmosphere enough to replenish the O2 supply.

Eventually we rigged a means whereby most - if not all - of us descended to Pittsburgh and met with the settlers. They were indeed Mormons. They'd built a city on columns out of the cannibalized remains of their spaceships, useless on this planet where magic works and the other inhabitants are creatures out of fairytales. Our Heroes were, of course, invited to stay.

Utilizing a real-world principle (about which Will waxed eloquent but Sheryl had no recognition or understanding), Robert was able to deduce a means whereby Our Heroes could leave the Mormon Magic Planet and return home. Success!

The End.
